I once heard a quote that said the last person to ever know everything was Aristotle. Whether or not it was true, it made me overwhelmed with the thought of how much more there was to learn.
In 2018, I worked at a Fortune Global 500 company, took ice hockey lessons, started a company that specializes in Lebanese baklava, founded a non-profit theatre company, painted a 7-foot wide canvas that served as the backdrop for an album cover, and became a freelance strategy/analytics consultant.
What will I do in 2019? Keep checking back to find out.

Currently, I'm taking online courses on subjects that range from food science to data analytics to music theory.
I currently provide strategy and analytics services to a global hospitality company.
In my first year as a Strategy Analyst, I ranked in the top 10% of 200+ peers, received the highest attainable rating in performance evaluations, and was promoted to Senior Analyst. I helped secure $70 million in client work, and have project experience across a multitude of industries and functions, including growth strategy, operating model, cost optimization, analytics, and M&A. I also created and led analytics training events across five cities to teach colleagues how to go from raw data to actionable insights using programs like Tableau, Alteryx, and Power BI.
BlackRock (Corporate Strategy & Business Development)
Over the course of the internship, I worked on projects for both the Corporate Strategy and Business Development teams. Highlights included big data in retail technology, pricing strategy, and competitor analyses. In addition, I learned to use DCF methodology to value companies and participated on a team working on a live development deal.
Goldman Sachs (Credit Risk Management & Advisory)
As a Summer Analyst, I was responsible for the determining risk appetite towards a portfolio of over 100 mutual and hedge funds. By analyzing strategic, regulatory, and financial profiles, I set internal ratings that contributed to the monitoring of product trades.
Deloitte (Internal Services)
During this exploratory internship, I was able to participate in Audit, Marketing, Consulting, and Talent projects. My biggest accomplishment was coding a VBA macro to increase efficiencies on the Talent team by 60%.
As the Financial Director of The Story Theatre, I am responsible for creating and maintaining the annual budget and developing fundraising campaigns. I designed a sponsorship brochure to solicit donations from individuals and corporations that helped raise over $500 to put on a production in Chicago, Illinois.
While studying abroad in college, I volunteered at Cáritas in the marketing group. I created print and web advertisements in Spanish and Catalan. My main advertising campaign was featured on their website, printed in a newspaper in Barcelona, and boosted the turnout rate by 15%.
